Erdine "Dean" Woody Ball
Died: October 25, 2025
Erdine "Dean" Woody Ball born March 18, 1934, peacefully left this world surrounded by her family to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday October 25, 2025.
Dean lived a long and joyful life filled with love for her family, her neighbors, church family, and friends. Dean never met a stranger and enjoyed good food, good conversation, gardening, and working.
Late in her life when she was no longer mobile, she enjoyed sitting outside in the garage with her family and those who came to visit her. Dean's life touched many hearts, and her memory will continue to live on through the love she showed with those around her.
Dean was a faithful member of the Newport Church of Christ. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband Lon Ball over 60 years, her parents, Jim and Donie Woody, siblings, Furman (Mary Ester) Woody, Joe Woody, Iva Jean (Clifford) Henderson, and Mary (Ralph) Epperson.
She is survived by the lights of her life, son, Connie (Marsha) Ball, grandchildren, Amy Ball, C.J. (Tiffany) Ball, and great-grandchildren, Taelyr, Sully, and Maveryk Ball.

The Family would like to give a special thank you and express immense gratitude to the exceptional and amazing nurses, CNAs, and staff with Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice for their care, love, kindness, and support shown and given to our family and Dean during her illness. She along with us loved each one who took care of her.
