DANVILLE - Audrey "Dianne" Guymon, 84, of LeRoy, formerly of Danville, was called home to heaven with the sun shining on her face.
Dianne was born on Dec. 8, 1940, in Danville, the daughter of Walter and Wilma (Stine) Deck. She married Richard "Dick" C. Guymon on Dec. 29, 1962, and preceded her in death on March 22, 2020.
Survivors include one son, Mark (JoAnne) Guymon of LeRoy; five grandchildren, Samantha Guymon, Andrea (Barry) Callahan, Jeff (Dina) Leiding, Bayley Guymon and Bianca (Kyle) Wilson; as well at eight great-grandchildren.
Dianne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard "Dick" Guymon; one son, Matthew Guymon; and one brother, John Deck.
Dianne was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. She retired from the Illinois Department of Corrections, where she worked as a counselor. Dianne enjoyed spending her free time creating ceramics, especially dolls and beer steins; painting; working in her yard; and flower gardening.
A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 7, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61834. Tim Wright will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 7, at the funeral home. Dianne and her family request casual attire for services.
