Becky Jenkins

Becky Jenkins Sidney - Becky Jenkins, 62, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Tuesday (Nov. 4, 2025). She was born on Feb. 11, 1963, to Laura Lawrence and Bill Snack, and they preceded her in death. Becky brought laughter and care to everyone she met. While she most recently resided in Sidney, Becky spent most of her life in Georgetown. She dedicated her professional career to caring for others, working as a CNA in occupational medicine at Carle and spending many years at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living. She is survived by her devoted husband, Chuck Jenkins. Her legacy continues through her children: her son, Jeremiah Young (Hannah Young), and daughter, Katherine Young (Kelsey Minier). She was the proud grandmother to three granddaughters, Haylee, Shelby and Ava, who were the light of her life. She was a "best friend" to her great-nephew, "Ted E." She is survived by her siblings, Tim Snack (Crystal Snack), Mark Snack (Lisa Snack) and Lisa Hamilton (Jim Hamilton). She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Sammy, and dog, Ryder. A lifelong fan, Becky never missed an opportunity to cheer on her beloved Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and Fighting Illini. She loved attending concerts with her family, filling every outing with joy and her signature sense of humor. Becky will be remembered for her laugh and unwavering love for her family. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at Freese Funeral Home, Sidney, with the funeral to follow at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Danville.
