CHAMPAIGN - Beverly Parsons went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, Aug. 22, 2025.
She was born July 8, 1937, in Detroit, to Sterlie and Julia Kelsheimer, who precede her in death. She was the oldest of two children. Her sister, Donna Parrill, also preceded her in death.
She married Chuck White on Oct. 20, 1956. She then married Dick Parson on June 1, 1996. They both preceded her in death.
She was a very loving mom and grandma. She always took time to play with her children and grandchildren. She taught us how to sing and dance. Most importantly, she taught us about God and how to love.
She is survived by her three children, Charles White, Peggy Host and Tina Bailey. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Kayla Youker, Peyton Jansik, Wyatt Host, Kamdyn White, Kaston White and London White.
She resided in Champaign-Urbana from 1964 to 1996, Mahomet from 1996 to 2024, and Aspen Trace Family-First Senior Living in Indianapolis from 2024 until her death. She retired from Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
She never knew a stranger. She always had a hug and a smile for everyone she met. She was loved by many and will be sorely missed.
Her services will be on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center's Champaign Chapel, 710 N. Neil St., at 1 p.m. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service. Beverly will be interred in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.
Please join Beverly's family in sharing memories, photos and videos on her tribute wall at sunsetfuneralhome.com.
