Bradley Pruser Obituary
LeROY - Bradley Wayne Pruser, 61, left this world on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022, at Carle BroMenn Medical Center, Normal, after an extended illness.
A visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at Eastview Christian Church, 1500 N. Airport Road, Normal, with a service to follow at 10 a.m.
Brad was born Aug. 21, 1961, in Clay Center, Kan., to Carolyn (Merritt) and Vernon Pruser, the youngest of their five children. He was preceded in death by his father.
The family moved to Farmer City when Brad was just 5 years old. After attending Farmer City-Mansfield High School, Brad made his home in LeRoy. He was a water service manager for Hicksgas Water Solutions of Bloomington for more than 20 years and truly enjoyed interacting with his many long-term customers.
A devoted and loving father, Brad is survived by his son, Joshua (Jessica) of Clinton; his daughter, Nicole of LeRoy; his mother, Carolyn Pruser of Champaign; and four siblings, Jane (Patrick) Hayes of Cape Coral, Fla., David (Alicia) Pruser of Washington, Mo., Sheryl (Michael) Rounds of Mahomet and Brenda (Michael) Marshall of Albuquerque, N.M.
Brad was an active member of Eastview Christian Church and served as a Sunday School teacher for 2- and 3-year-olds for the last 15 years. When not teaching, he volunteered in the nursery for the "treat" of rocking the babies. He also sponsored a child, Dana, through World Vision, a Christian organization working to help communities lift themselves out of poverty.
Avid Chicago Bears fans, he and Josh cheered the team on through many games and seasons.
Throughout his life, Brad was a passionate philanthropist who gave his time, blood and funds to the following organizations, which will accept memorial donations made in his name: World Vision at worldvision.org/donate; WCIC-FM radio in Peoria at wcicfm.org; the American Red Cross at AmericanRedCross.org/donate; and Eastview Christian Church at eastview.church/give.

Brad is Truly one of the nicest most knowledgeable and hardest working men I know. I always looked forward to him stopping out to work on our water system. I always liked to tell him that our water was not that bad and we just bought the system so we would get to see him once in a while. Brad will truly be missed by all that knew him.

We are shocked and saddened to read about Brad. He has helped us out multiple times as a Hicks employee. Such a nice guy. So friendly and always so helpful. We will truly miss him. Our sympathies to his family.

To the family and friends of Brad,
We are so saddened and shocked to see this obituary. Brad has been our water man for over 20 years. He was the nicest, most genuine man. He was always so personable, knowledgable, helpful, and truly concerned about the customer. We knew we could always trust Brad. One time Brad was working on our water system when we were not home and our Rottweiler snuck in the basement when Brad went out to his truck. The dog ran upstairs and did not wish to go back outside. Brad took the time to somehow coax the dog out of the house and back outside where she belonged! Not many people would be conscientious enough or brave enough to take the time to deal with a strange dog. Brad had a great work ethic and a big heart. What a great guy he was! He will be truly missed. May peace and fond memories help fill the huge void now left in your lives.
