CHAMPAIGN - Donald Edward Kaiser, 76, of Champaign passed away Saturday (April 26, 2025) at home surrounded by his loved ones.
Donald was born on Feb. 21, 1949, in Champaign, to Loren and Dorothy (Tatman) Kaiser. He attended Champaign Central High School and then voluntarily enlisted in the U.S. Army.
Don is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marcia (Lange) Kaiser; and children, Christine (Danny) Bialeschki and Stanley (Laura) Kaiser, both of Tolono. He took great pride in his four granddaughters, Haley, Katie, Payton and Cameron; seven stepgrandchildren; and his many special nieces and nephews. He is also survived by one sister, Patty Jo Cross.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Sharon Koch.
As a veteran of the U.S. Army, Donald served his country with honor in Vietnam. After his tour of duty, Don returned to Champaign, married the love of his life on Oct. 11, 1969, and worked for Clifford and Jacobs Forging for 46 years.
He enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting and relaxing with friends in his garage.
Private services will be held at a later date.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the American Legion.

I remember growing up and doing the big garden in the summer at the farm house me and my brother picking up the potatoes and helping with all the other stuff and also going fishing at the pond with the family it was fun and also he always had his friends over from work and they always treated us good I would get them beers and they would give me money for it I missed those days so much but some day I will see you again Dad I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART AND I WILL TAKE CARE OF MOM

Don was a wonderful man who loved his family and country so much. We were friends every since working together at Clifford Jacobs.
I am honerd to have know. His service to our country and beautiful family. All his friends loved him.
