Floyd McCann Obituary

FARMER CITY – Floyd W. McCann, 50, of Farmer City passed away at 9:35 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2008, at his home in Farmer City.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 13, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, 106 N. Main St., Farmer City. Pastor John Deeters will officiate. Burial will be at 4 p.m. Friday, June 13, in Alto Pass Cemetery, Alto Pass. Rev. Miller will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the family care of Debra L. McCann.

Mr. McCann was born March 15, 1958, in Rockford, to Floyd and Ruby Tucker McCann. He married Debra L. Brooks on Sept. 25, 1999, in Farmer City. She survives in Farmer City.

Also surviving are his mother, Ruby McCann of Alto Pass; one stepdaughter, Katelyn C. Carson of Farmer City; one brother, Bobby (Sherri) McCann of Alto Pass; four sisters, Carolyn (J.D.) Boston of East Troy, Wis., Diane (Jeff) Robertson of Alto Pass, Judy McCann of Anna, and Teri (Darrel) Hartline of Cobden; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, his grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.

He was an Army National Guard veteran and a member of the Joe Williams American Legion Post 55, Farmer City.

He enjoyed his family and his dogs. He will be missed by his family, friends, and a special friend, Dick Thacker.
