TOLONO - Glenna Arlene Conatser Wrestler, 82, of Tolono died Sunday (April 7, 2024) after a monthlong battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family and friends until the time of her passing.
She was born Oct. 3, 1941, in Terre Haute, Ind., to Robert and Marie Sandberg Conatser. They preceded her in death, along with her three older brothers, Kenny, Ronnie and Normie.
She is survived by her sister, Wanda Hackett (Willard) of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; three nephews, Wilton (Corinne) and great-nephews Kyle and Cory, and Wendell (Sharon) and great-nephew Carl (Heather); a niece, Wynelle Stevens (Gene) and their children, Andrew (Delaine), Jeremy and Erica; and two great-nephews, Sky and Riot; and nephew Wayne (Michel).
Her firstborn son, John, preceded her in death in September 2014. Surviving are John's daughter, Maia, of Greensboro, N.C.; Glenna's son David and grandson Devin of Bellflower; and her daughter, Janelle Dodds (John) and their children, Dawson of New Orleans, Kenzie of Bellevue, Wash., Brice (Natalie) of Tolono, Josh (Bek) of Champaign and Clint (Katie) of Wauwatosa, Wis. Also surviving are seven great-grandchildren, Kinsley, Hudson, Kolsyn and Keenan, as well as Judah, Jonah and Rory.
Glenna will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She was known for throwing a killer tea party, making a mean sub sandwich, her mouth-watering cinnamon rolls and showing up to support those she loved. Known as Mom, Gram, Great-Grandma, Geena, Aunt Glenna and friend, she could always be counted on. She was the craftiest of them all. Toilet paper and Kleenex box covers, crocheted hats and scarves, themed clocks, picture collages, owl and flower displays and on and on. She loved decorating for the holidays, flower gardening and making other people happy; a more selfless person has never walked this earth.
There will be a memorial service at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 14, with visitation from 1 to 3 p.m., at Freese Funeral Home, 407 N. Bourne St., Tolono. Services will be officiated by Pastor Charlie Thompson of Cicero, Ind. There will be no graveside services.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted to help defray final expenses.

Glenn was a customer of mine at Walmart. She later became a friend. She always was up for saying hi. She would come in and make sure she let you know you was appreciated.
