Neil McLaughlin Obituary
A lifelong resident of Dover, he was born here January 20, 1921 the son of Daniel and Agnes S. (Mallen) McLaughlin.
He had retired from Miller Shoe where he was a Sole Layer. Neil was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army.
He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, a member of the American Legion Post # 47 & the VFW Post # 4485 of Somersworth. He was an avid golfer and an artist of stock cars.
Neil had just recently earned his high school diploma from Dover High School.
His wife, Leora A. (Jewell) McLaughlin died August 3, 1976.
Members of the family include his son, Vincent N. McLaughlin of Dover, his daughters, Kim Byrnes of Iowa and Alicia McLaughlin of Dover, sisters, Alicia MacVane of Dover, Joann Payne of York, ME and Patricia Jennison of Madbury. 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter also survive Neil. Daughters, Patricia Bickford, Cornelia McLaughlin and Edna Roux, preceded him in death.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9PM at the Tasker Funeral Home 621 Central Ave. Dover. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 1:00PM in St. Mary Church corner of Third and Chestnut St. with Fr. Fritz Cerullo, OSA pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Dover.

Sorry to hear about your Dad. I remember when we use to talk at GE
about our Dads working together at
Miller Shoe. I lost my Dad 3 yrs. ago and my Mom 2 months ago. It sure is hard that they are both gone
but are together again. I send my
deepest sympathy to you and your family.
