Janet Hirschler Obituary
URBANA - Janet N. Hirschler, 96, of Urbana died at 9:35 p.m. Monday (Oct. 28, 2024) at Amber Glen Alzheimer's Special Care Center, Urbana.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. Casey Taylor will officiate. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, 1900 S. Philo Road, Urbana, is in charge of arrangements.

I knew Janet at Amber Glen when our group of students from Parkland College did our CNA clinical at this memory care facility in Urbana. I helped a CNA give Janet a shower. She didn´t like having a shower very much. I noticed her pants were too big and I asked the CNA why she had no clothes. I was told she had no family. So I started bringing her my mom´s beautiful outfits. The CNAs dressed Janet in my mom´s clothes that my mom could no longer use because she had gone to Heaven almost 3 years ago. I got to visit Janet a few times after I graduated. She was a great lady.
