Jeff and I spoke of many things and shared similar perspectives. His appreciation of cars, motorcycles, water activities, dogs, wildlife and a love of the outdoors, made him a welcome friend although I only knew him in his later years as an Arkansas neighbor. I am sorry for his passing and miss him. Brian Ray

I think Jeff was a relative of mine. We grew up together, seeing each other at Christmas gatherings. He had an older brother named John, and very nice parents. We both went to the U of I, and I would run into him occasionally on the quad. I am sad to read this

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. I remember working with Jeff at Campus Rec. He was kind and congenial. He even gave me computer help when I needed it!. Sincerely, Margaret

Jeff was the best boss I ever had. I worked with him for several years. He was more than just a boss, he was a great friend to me. He would treat the Business Office with a few "Retreat Days", by taking us to Clinton Lake to hang out on his boat. I´m sure we talked a bit about work while we were having fun!

Jeff was my boss for many years at the U of I. I still carry a little pocket knife he gave me. I remember so well how he would look after a "Ultra" run. Beat up and wore out but grinning so wide.
