RANTOUL - Jimmie Lynn Hedin (née Brown), 94, went to be with the Lord on Thursday (March 27, 2025).
Jimmie was predeceased by her husband, Harold, and parents.
She is survived by three sons, Michael (Tammy), Richard (Bette) and David (Asia); as well as six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She also leaves three sisters, Georgia Whitley, Bo Milam and Beni Wilson; and many extended family members.
Jimmie was raised in Judsonia, Ark., prior to and during WWII. She had an interesting life after high school and business school. She worked at Patti McDonald/Manhattan Construction Company in Little Rock, Ark. She continued with this company through several states.
She met her husband, Harold, who was with the Air Force in Oklahoma. When they retired, they chose to stay at their last post, Chanute, near Champaign, where they raised their boys.
There will be a graveside service on Saturday, April 5, at 10 a.m. at Eden Park Cemetery, Rantoul. A celebration of Jimmie's life will be held in Sherwood, Ark., in the near future.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
