Joe Oschwald Obituary
MT. PLEASANT, Iowa - Joseph M. "Joe" Oschwald, 69, of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, formerly of Champaign, died Friday, March 24, 2023.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 1, at First United Methodist Church, 309 N. Main St., Mt. Pleasant. Friends may call from noon to 7 p.m. Friday, March 31, at the church, with family present to receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m.
The Kimzey Funeral Home, 213 N. Main St., Mt. Pleasant, is handling arrangements. Memorials are to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, First United Methodist Church or the Mt. Pleasant Community School District Music Boosters. Online condolences may be directed to kimzeyfh.com.
Survivors include his wife, Gaila; three children, Jordan (Heidi) Oschwald of Maricopa, Ariz., Lindsay (Evan) Honts of Winfield, Iowa, and Lauren (Blake) Allender of Mt. Pleasant; three brothers, John (Laura) Oschwald of Mahomet, Jeff (Jill) Oschwald of Fenton, Mo., and Jim (Dale Murphy) Oschwald of Phoenix; his mother-in-law, Sandra Fink of Onarga; five grandchildren; one anticipated grandson; and multiple nieces and nephews and their families.
Joe's parents and father-in-law, Marvin Fink, preceded him in death.
