VILLA GROVE - Johnathan Williams of Villa Grove was born Aug. 24, 1988, to the late John C. Williams and Doreen J. Lingafelter. He left this life on Saturday, March 18, 2023.
He was preceded in death by both parents; his maternal grandfather; both paternal grandparents; and a sister, Erika Williams.
A celebration of life will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at the VFW in Villa Grove.
Johnathan loved to spend time with friends and family playing loud music, singing and playing guitar. His two boys, Jett Williams and Jexxon, were his world. They completed his life, and you could see it in his eyes.
Johnathan was the life the party and never failed to bring the whole room to uncontrollable laughter. He had the ability to bring a smile to your face even on your darkest day. He had the best heart and the smartest mouth. If you were lucky enough to be in his circle, he considred you family. He has touched so many lives with his contagious smile and amazing personality.
He is leaving behind a fiancée, Mesha Ruskin; two sons, Jett Williams and Jexxon Williams; eight siblings, Kevin Drum of Veedersburg, Cliff Williams of Villa Grove, Misty Thorman of Bement, Melissa Brazel of Rossville, Laura Warner of Lake Station, Jeri Williams of Villa Grove, Amber Williams of Rardin and Justin Wiliams of Decatur; six nephews, Ryan Brazel, Kyler Williams, Elliot Warner, Dylan Warner, Liam Arnett and Parker Brazel; seven neices, Cassidy Leopky, Corrie Drum, Caitlin Drum, Mckenna Kleiss, Emma Brazel, Kaelynn Elbs and Everly Thorman; as well as so many he counted as family.
He will be greatly missed by all that were lucky enough to know him. The world will be a little less bright without him.

I'm so sorry for the loss of Johnathan. Even though I didn't know him very well or very long, I knew he was a nice guy. My thoughts and prayers go to all of you.
