I have earlier fond memories of Sister Phillips, her daughter Nicole and I were good childhood friends and I lived with my family for a number of years in the same neighborhood. I will never forget the times that she would drive us girls to school and give us encouragement before the day began. She was a thoughtful woman and I remember that I always felt as if I were a part of her family whenever I was in her presence. I just want to let you know Nicole, Chris, Arriel, Nicolas, Patrick and Mr. Phillips know that I send my deepest condolences and love at this time. If you need anything, please do not hesitate to call me.

It is hard to choose a fondest memory, because I have so many fond memories of Diane and the Phillips family. I wish I could capture the many years of shared experiences in these few words, but it can't be done. So I'll just share this one:
When I learned I was pregnant with Julian, I was nearing 40 years of age. It was a total surprise and I wasn't exactly dancing in the street with joy about the situation. So, Diane and other friends pitched in to cheer me up and get me laughing again. A few months before Julian was born, Diane, Betty, Tracy, Geri, Frame and my girls gave me a baby shower. It was the largest, happiest, laughingest, loudest shower ever. I still remember Diane's laughter. In my mind's eye, I still see us all eating and laughing and making for good times in the beautifully decorated backyard (Diane loved to decorate) having fun, fun, fun. Diane loved to make happiness, she loved to have fun. And that is just one of the many happy, fun times I spent with Diane. It brings me joy to think about those times. Nicole,Chris, Patrick, Ariel and Nicholas, remember to just say the word if you need me for anything. I'll be in touch. Much love.

My fondest memory with Diane was when we went to Cosmetology School together. Diane was just learning to drive. One Saturday we went to class and Diane could not park the car. I was only 17 and had not learn to drive. Diane was bumping into poles and all to get the car in the space. I babysat all of Diane's children, Patrick I kept for a week one time while Diane was in the hospital. Diane let me name Arriel. In the last few years I lost touch with Diane something I will always regret. I will always remember Diane's laugh and her wonderful lasagna. Sometimes she would make lasagna for me to take home. My heart goes out to Christopher, Patrick, Nicole, Arriel and Nicholas. If you ever need anything I am a phone call away.
