Joyce and I connected in the 70s when she was in grad school, and we remained in long distance contact thereafter - via letters, holiday greetings and FB. We shared so much - family, the social work profession and many "causes" and commitments. My world is emptier without her.

I have memories of Joyce´s passionate support for women´s equality and the ERA when we were both NOW members back in the late 70´s and early 80´s. I admired her for taking action for her convictions.
