Kathryn Davis Obituary

MAHOMET - Kathryn "Kathy" Jane Davis, 70, of Mahomet passed away at 12:26 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 31, at Morgan Memorial Home, 1304 Regency Drive West, Savoy, with Reverend Dave Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at the Ashmore Cemetery, Ashmore. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 30, at the funeral home.

Kathy was born on March 10, 1939, in Ashmore. She was the daughter of Gene and Gladys Shoots Hicks. She married Robert Davis on March 6, 1962, in Charleston. He survives.

Kathy was a dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Pam Davis.

Kathy graduated from Eastern Illinois University. She was a secretary at the University of Illinois and retired in 1995 after 35 years of service. She was a member of the Mahomet Christian Church. She was a member of the Champaign Sportsman Club for nine years.

Memorials can be made to the Mahomet Christian Church, 908 North Lake of the Woods Road, Mahomet, IL 61853.
