Lainey Berry Obituary
MANSFIELD – Lainey Leann Berry "Bug," 4 years old, of Mansfield, was born into heaven July 21, 2009, at 4:35 p.m.
She was born Jan. 30, 2005, to Rodney and Lisa Berry.
Lainey was a precious little girl who could light up any room just by walking into it. She loved playing with her baby dolls, wearing pretty little dresses, coloring and going to school. She wanted to be a princess when she grew up but some days getting married and being a mommy was good enough for her. Her world revolved around her two older brothers Cameron, 5, and Wesley, 7, or her "Bubbas," as she called them.
She flew up to heaven on the wings of angels past the clouds and stars to where nobody sees and she walks with Jesus and her loved ones waiting and I know she's smiling, saying, "Don't worry 'bout me."
She will be dearly missed by her great-grandma Patricia Holmes of Florida; grandparents, David and Tari Berry of Champaign and Wes and Patsy Philbeck of Mansfield; four uncles; three aunts; and 13 cousins. Countless friends and extended family will also hold her in their hearts forever.
A visitation will be held Monday, July 27, from 10 a.m. to noon at Blair-Owens Funeral Home, 102 E. Dunbar, Mahomet. The funeral service will begin at noon. Entombment will be at the Grandview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Champaign.
Memorial contributions may be made at the funeral home during the service or may be sent to Grandview Memorial Gardens, c/o Tari Berry.

I had a dream of u last night... one of two since uve been gone. i pray every night ill see u in my dreams if only for a moment to look upon ur gorgeous face and feel what its like to have u again. u spoke to me last night. u said my name, "mommy" with a smile and that was all. but that was enough because just the sound of ur little voice will carry me through the days till i can see u in my dreams once more. im still trying really hard to smile when i think of u. im sorry i cant help but cry because the thought of not having u is far too much to bare. i miss u so very much that words can not describe what life is like without u here. i still cant believe i held an angel in my arms and in just a moment u were gone. im so glad i am ur mom. i wish i could have taught u all the things i wanted to like how to cross ur legs when u wear a pretty dress, how to put ur make-up on just right, i wish i could have been there to take pictures of u at prom, to tell u what to do when that boy tried to kiss u, to hold ur hand and tell u how proud i am of u on ur wedding day or wipe ur forehead as u gave birth to ur first baby. i wish for all of these things for me and u even though they will never come true. i never stop dreaming for u! i know u send me signs, i know that ur ok and in the best place u could be but it doesnt stop me from still wanting u here with me. i love u and miss u so much Bug... love mommy

i thought of you with love today but that is nothing new, i thought about you yesterday and days before that to. i think of you in silence as i often speak your name, all i have are memories and your picture in a frame. your memory is my keepsake with which i'll never part, god has you in his keeping, i have you in my heart. love you lainey bug, miss you more and more everyday. Lisa, I just wanted to let you know that know matter how far or how long the road might be Lainey will allways be there with you. Everyone says they know how you feal when really know one can ever feal the same thing you are. The one thing we all know is how hard it is to loose someone you love and care for. So when your sad just try to remember the funny times you 2 had with eachother your baby girl will allways be there with you.
You may not see her but you will feal her right in your heart and she will never go away. (Lainey had one of the Most caring and loving mom's in the world any kid would have been blessed to call you mom)

I just heard the news from your mom Rodney. I was so sorry to hear about your loss. I myself know how hard this is for the two of you and your family but just remember all the wonderful memories you have. I have been taking comfort with my own loss by knowing that Luke is safe and is now my angel in the sky. lisa, not only are we grieving for our sweet granddaughter but we are also grieving for our own daughter. we feel frustrated and helpless because this ie one pain we can't just kiss away. all the little way's we had to make you smile are useless now, we have no magic words to take the pain away.just know that we will aways be here and love you. we'll never forget that little angelic voice of hers echoing through the house when you came over to visit us or when she would come running up to me and in a low voice (that i have no idea where it came from)she would say hi papa and give me a big hug. she was our special angel and words can't start to explain the love we had for her and how much we'll miss her. our only comfort is knowing someday we'll see her and be with her again in heaven.

Lainey LeAnn Berry : She was like a daughter to us. She was a curious little girl. She was a beautiful little girl with a beautiful big smile. She had blue eyes that would light a room like stars in the sky. Always happy and playing, singing and dancing. She was loved by everyone she met. She will always be in our hearts and minds. Her parents were so happy to have their little Angel in their lifes and hearts. A gift from GOD, to love and hold in their arms, But now she has gone home. There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;

It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
