I have very fond memories of Martha as organist at Grace Lutheran. One reason I joined Grace was the superb music there, and she was a major part of that. She played for my wedding on July 8, 1995.

Martha was a joy to work with. So knowledgeable, musically talented and funny. She battled some real health challenges and was always upbeat and positive. We would both light up when we'd see each other on campus. She will be missed dearly.

Martha was a friend for over 40 years. I would often stop by and bring her coffee at her U of I office. More recently, we enjoyed breakfast at Original Pancake House where she reminded me that my son Ryan, was her son, Ben's, favorite babysitter.
Love you, Martha

As good a person as she was an organist at St Andrews and Grace Lutheran Churches, and she could knock out those hymns! RIP Martha! From the Laugges´s
