MAHOMET - Patricia Charlene Bryan, 91, of Mahomet, died on the morning of Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, at Piatt County Nursing Home, Monticello.

Patricia was born on July 21, 1934, to Charles and Gladys (Hauersperger) Dean. She married Jackie Dale Bryan on Oct. 2, 1953, in Rantoul. Together they celebrated 41 years of marriage and raised their son, Jackie Charles Bryan. Her husband preceded her in death on Sept. 16, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her three sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include a son, Jackie (Amanda) Bryan of Mahomet; three granddaughters, Jennifer (Josh) Clements of Mahomet, Melissa (Jeffrey) Nelson of North Dakota and Allee (Alec) Elmore of Indiana; and seven great-grandchildren, Parker, Bryanna, Annabelle and Easton Clements and Sophia, Adeline and Grace Nelson.
Patricia was a longtime member of the Mahomet United Methodist Church and the Lions Club, as well as the American Legion Auxiliary and Daughters of the American Revolution. Patricia also volunteered her time and talents for Crisis Nursery.
She worked as a secretary until 1980, when she became interested in learning about the stock market and financial planning. Patricia went back to school to become a certified financial planner and stockbroker. She worked in the field until her retirement in 2009.
Patricia had a passion for traveling. She and her sisters traveled extensively throughout the U.S., Europe, China and Israel. She was also a devoted Illini fan and a member of the Illinois Quarterback Club. Whether it was football or basketball, Patricia never missed a game.
Patricia's grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her everything. Despite her busy schedule with work, traveling and volunteering, she always made time for her family. She was a daily visitor at her granddaughter's house and loved babysitting her great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
Donations may be made to the Champaign Lions Club, due to her devotion to the club through the years.
