BROADLANDS - Reita Elaine Dalton, 73, of Broadlands passed away at 2:17 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Tuscola Health Care Center.
She was born on April 10, 1951, in Martinsville, Ind., the daughter of Russell and Betty Jane (Wilson) Lorentz. She married Tommie Ray Dalton on June 22, 1997, in Urbana.
Reita is survived by her husband, Tommie; daughter, Jennifer Sanchez of Broadlands; stepdaughter, Kimberly Shaw of St. Joseph; stepson, Matthew Dalton of Tennessee; grandchildren, Joellyn and Jeannette Sanchez of McAllen, Texas, Alexandra Esposito of Davenport, Iowa, and Jazmine Skinner, Devilen Zeanah and Zachariah Zeanah of Broadlands; three great-grandchildren; and her sibling, Roy Lorentz of McAllen.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Reita graduated from Mahomet Seymour High School in 1965 and Parkland College, where she studied business. She worked for the University of Illinois Psychology Department in inventory control until she retired in 2007. Reita also worked at Meijer for several years. She enjoyed going to Disney World every chance she could and riding rollercoasters.
The family will be holding a celebration of life service at a later date.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It doesn't seem possible but we are not as young as we used to be. Your mom and I had a lot of fun times. I lalways loved going to their home, wherever it was!
