Reta Sellers Obituary

RANTOUL - Reta Sue Sellers, 79, went home to heaven on Monday, Sept. 29, 2025.

She was born on Sept. 13, 1946, in Cairo, Ill., the daughter of William and Dorothy Shettleworth.

Reta graduated from Rantoul Township High School, Class of 1964. She later attended and graduated from Parkland College in Champaign, majoring in computer science. She loved going to Parkland and was in the Honor Society and on the Dean's List.

Reta worked at the University of Illinois, NCSA (National Center for Supercomputing Applications), for 11 years as a system administrator.

She leaves two sons, Kevin (Sheri) Sellers of Gifford and Brian (Hope) Sellers of Monticello; and three grandchildren, Madison (Seth) Bishop of Gifford, Miranda Sellers of Homer and Noah Sellers of Oklahoma City, Okla.

Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center's Lux Chapel, 1551 E. Grove Ave., Rantoul, is honored to assist the family with funeral arrangements. Per Reta's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral.
