DANVILLE - Sally E. Wood Johnson passed away Monday (Nov. 20, 2023) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
She was born Feb. 21, 1950, in Gary, Ind., to Woodrow and Beverly Wood. Sally and her family later moved to Danville, where she grew up out in the Heights.
Sally is survived by her son, Bill (Missy) Johnson; daughter, Carrie Johnson; cherished grandchildren, Taylor and Cloe Johnson and Ethan Hickman; brother Dennis (Jo) Wood; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Granger and Carol Wood; her beloved dog, Blu; as well as many cherished friends.
Sally always loved baking with her grandchildren. She loved to study her family's genealogy. For those who knew Sally, her family was everything to her. She never knew a stranger. She made friends wherever she went.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents and brothers John, Steve and Danny.
Per Sallys wishes, she had a celebration of life where she was able to visit with all her family and friends. Therefore, there will be no service.
