ALLERTON - Steven William Craddock, 75, passed peacefully on Wednesday (June 12, 2024) surrounded by his family.
Steve was born April 6, 1949, to Eldon William Craddock and Marjorie Rowand Craddock. He has one sister, Annette Luth (Larry).
After graduating from ABL High School, he attended Southern Illinois University. Steve and Peggy Chandler Craddock married on March 9, 1969.
They have three children, Jeffrey William of Nebraska, Timothy Steven of Allerton (Heidi) and Amy Beth Heppe of Los Angeles. He will be loved and missed by his four beloved grandchildren, Matthew Craddock, Benjamin Craddock, Audrey Heppe and Rhys Heppe, to whom he is Papa Steve.
He was committed to the family farm, working the land for over 56 years in Allerton.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, at Joines Funeral Home, Newman. Funeral service will be the following day (June 20) at 10 a.m. at Sidell United Methodist Church, Sidell. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
