Susan Lybarger Obituary

SALEM – Susan Lybarger, 58, of Salem died at 3:10 a.m. Thursday (July 2, 2009) at Good Samaritan Hospital, Mt. Vernon.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church, Salem. Bob Teel and Phil Martin will officiate. Burial will be in 1880 Cemetery, Omega. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Rogers-Atkins Funeral Home, 403 S. Broadway, Salem.

She was born Aug. 10, 1950, the daughter of Harold Eugene and Lola Mae Widger Smith. She married Robert Lybarger of Salem March 20, 1970, in Newton. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Matt and Joli Lybarger of Salem and Tim and Amy Lybarger of Urbana; four brothers, Mike Smith of Indiana, Joe Smith of Olney, Arlon Smith of Olney and Roger Smith of Tennessee; two sisters, Sally Prater of Tennessee and Sylvia of Flora; and four grandchildren, Haddon, Lola, Audrey and Charlotte.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Milton Smith.

She was a retired secretary and office manager, and was a member of the First Christian Church, Salem.

Donations may be made to Special Olympics, Oil Belt Service Camp or O.M.S. (Haiti Mission).
