LUDLOW - Toni Lee McBride, 73, of Ludlow passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday afternoon (March 8, 2025).
She was born Dec. 12, 1951, in Rantoul, a daughter of Leo and June (Tippit) Bina.
She is survived by a son, Tom (Melissa) McBride of Rantoul; a daughter, Christina (Nick) Carpenter of Gifford; a brother, Jim (Karla) Bina of Ludlow; and six grandchildren, Brenna, Ava, Owen, Dylan, Keegan and Tyler.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
She was a 1970 graduate of Rantoul Township High School. She earned her associate degree in nursing at Parkland College and worked as a nurse for 30 years.
She was a member of the Ludlow Christian Church. Toni loved her grandchildren above all else, and they will sadly miss their trips to Grandma's and her snack drawer! She enjoyed spending time with family and was very supportive of the sports her grandchildren were involved in.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lux Memorial Chapel, 1551 E. Grove Ave., Rantoul. Private burial will be held at Ludlow Cemetery at a later date.

I've known Toni and her siblings since our high school days. She has a great sense of humor and her memory of past events was astonishing. I would reach out to her every so often to see how life was going. She will be missed as her kindness made my day. Rest in peace.
