TOLONO - Wanda Kay Price, 73, of Tolono passed away peacefully at 5:31 p.m. Saturday (April 19, 2025) at home surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on June 8, 1951, in Rantoul, Wanda was the beloved daughter of Floyd and Eileen Beihoffer. She married the love of her life, Danny Lee Price, on May 31, 1978, in Waukegan. Together they built a beautiful life grounded in love, laughter, adventure and deep devotion to family.
Wanda proudly served her country as a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. Following her military service, she continued a life of dedication and hard work with a 30-year career at the U.S. Postal Service.
Wanda was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her six children, Anthony (Kelly) Price of East Peoria, Leslye Allen of Springfield, Mo., Crystal (Wesley) Post of Danvers, Eric (Carrie) Price of St. Anne, Jerry Price of Tolono and Dandel Price of Bourbonnais. She was a proud grandmother to 12 grandchildren, Cassandra Price, Aubry, Adam and Mallory Post, Caprice Allen, Kinley Rose, Ashton Bentley and Kaylynn, Ryan, Eleanor, Eric Jr. and Vivianne Price. Wanda also cherished her two great-grandchildren, Justin and Khloe Jardine.
She is also survived by her loving sisters, Debi Hart of Foley, Ala., and Linda Beihoffer of Tolono.
Wanda had a joyful spirit and an adventurous heart. She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life - relaxing by the pool with a good book, solving Sudoku puzzles, and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed traveling with Danny, boating on the river, and trying her luck at casinos.
Her warmth, humor and fierce love for her family will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
A celebration of Wanda's life will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at Freese Funeral Home, Tolono. Military rites will be accorded.

Sorry for your loss...feel like I never got to know Wanda all those years at work. We were on opposite shifts. Seems like I got to know her better after retiring and being a friend on Facebook where I got to know her. I enjoyed her fellow support of military veterans. She will be surely missed by her family and loved one's. God Bless.
