Allan Cottrell Obituary

Allan B. Cottrell, 80, of Mentor, passed away Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Golden Living Center in Kirtland with his family at his side.
Born Sept. 14, 1932, in Cleveland, Allan loved to hunt, enjoyed reading and was an animal lover, especially caring for dogs.
Mr. Cottrell was the loving father of Timothy J. (Susan) Cottrell of Merritt Island, Fla., Debra J. Pomfret of Mentor and Patricia M. (Craig) Wackford of Bel Air, Md.; cherished grandfather of John, Jeremy, Chris, Jason, Amber, Brandon and Joshua; great-grandfather of J.P., Luke, Logan and Madi; and brother of Charles Cottrell of Bangor, Maine.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma A. (Downs) Cottrell; daughter, Ruth A. Cottrell; parents, Charles and Dorothy (Johnson) Cottrell; sister, Rosemarie Conner; and son-in-law, John Pomfret.
Private family services were held.
Arrangements entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes, Willoughby and Mentor.
