Charles Catania Obituary
Born May 4, 1916, in Cleveland, Mr. Catania was the owner/operator of the former Mr. Charles Hair Dressing Salon in Cleveland for many years.
Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the VFW and Collinwood Memories.
Survivors include his children, Michael Catania of Westlake and Cheryl Catania of Mentor; grandchildren, Marie, Michael, Lena, Jesse, Stephen, Melissa and Rachel; and great-grandchildren, Ben, Sarah, Jake, Chloe, Abrianna and Olivia.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Lena T. Catania; son, Charles R. Catania Jr.; parents, Dominic and Anna Catania; and siblings, Mary Bocci, Dominic Jr., Joseph, Ross, Frank and Carmen Catania.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Interment will be at Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
