We all still miss you so much, especially Kathy, Stephen and your Mom. I get to see them occassionally, and they all still speak of you with so much love. You are truly loved. I remember spending so much time at the trailer you and Kathy lived in when you were first married. I think I was there every day when Kathy got home from work. You never said, "what are you doing here again?" You were always so kind to me. In fact, I can't remember a time when you were short tempered with me, and I was around a lot.
Kathy absolutely adored you and still does. You are truly one of a kind. Love and miss you, Emily

Kathy and Stephen,
What a shock! I just found out about Dave's homegoing. Words are so hard at a time like this. Your family has always been special to us over the years. Dave's giving heart was always on display. We appreciated his ministry at church and in our personal lives. I know Gene would express the same thoughts if he were here. My prayers are for your comfort which the Lord will provide for the both of you. My love and prayers, Rose Protzman

Dave was the hands and feet of Jesus- always always there to help. I can look around my house and see the things he helped us tackle. He was an amazing man and we will feel his presence deeply. Our deepest condolences to Kathy, Stephen, and Dave´s mom. May you all feel the comforting arms that only our Savior can provide. Until we meet again, Dave. Oh my dear friend. Your passing is a great loss to many, but we will meet again. I´ve always admired how much you loved my friend, Kathy. Your love for her is what fairy tales are made of. Your kindness can not be measured. We had some fun times together at the racetrack and just hanging out. You are a cherished friend, husband, son and father. I know you are setting up an amazing campsite up there, and I can´t wait to see it. For you it will be in a twinkling of an eye for our reunion. For us, it may seem long and many tears will be shed, but we give God the glory for his promises and the knowledge that you are absent from the body and present with the Lord. I know you are in awe of his glory right now. It´s still sad to let you go. It´s hard to even grasp it right now, but you dear friend, enjoy the beautiful presence of the Lord and all his righteousness. You deserve it. Love, your friend, Emily
