Elaine Schmitt Obituary
Elaine passed away Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at Heartland of Mentor Nursing Facility in Mentor.
Born Aug. 11, 1934, in Spangler Pa., she was a lifetime resident of Lake County.
She was the loving mother of Barbara L. Schmitt of Wickliffe and Shane C. (Samantha) Schmitt of Mentor; cherished grandmother of Alicia, Nathaniel, Jacob, Joshua and Zachary; and great-grandmother of Tryston, Tyler, Kylee, Makenzie and Kaitlyn.
Elaine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andrew Schmitt; daughter, Debra A. Harding; granddaughter, Nicole; and parents, William and Dorothy (Fagan) Blackford.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.

No words can express the feelings of loss ~ But realize this, she had a Creator who did a "TERRIFFIC" job when Elaine was created and that's absolutely NOTHING compared to what's possible for that MASTERMIND with a WHOLE LOT OF LOVE in HIS HEART!!! Remember Barb what Jesus said to his friends, "I'm going to prepare a place for you." Now THATS a place where i'm looking forward to being :) Your friend, Michael.

I knew Elaine for more than 25 years, she was a wonderful woman. She was a Freind, and second mom to me. We shared a lot of laughs and even some tears over the years. She touched my life in a very special way and will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace, Love you??
