George J. Panstares

Funeral Mass for George J. Panstares, 77, of Willoughby, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Ss. Robert & William Church, 367 E. 260th St., Euclid. George passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights. He was born Nov. 16, 1944, in Cleveland. Mr. Panstares was a U.S. Army veteran and had worked for the City of Euclid Fire Dept. for 25 years. George was the loving husband of 54 years to Mary Ann (nee Cerino) Panstares; proudest dad of Laura (Dennis) Grosel and George (Beth); cherished and proud grandfather of Alex, Julie and John Panstares, and Dennis, Tommy and Nicole Grosel; uncle, great-uncle and “buddy” of many. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ethel (nee Vardas) Panstares; and siblings, Peter (Anna Maria, dec.) Panstares and Lucy (Bill, dec.) Geralis. Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor.
