James Srpan Obituary
Funeral services for James L. Srpan, 78, of Eastlake will be 10 am Saturday, at St. Mary Magdalene Church, Willowick.
Mr. Srpan died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011, surrounded by loved ones.
He was born Dec. 23, 1932, in Cleveland and had been an Eastlake resident for 45 years.
Mr. Srpan retired from Conrail in 1994.
He was a US Navy Veteran, who served during the Korean War; a member of VFW Post 3863 in Eastlake, Eagles and the American Legion. He was an avid swimmer and loved fishing and gardening.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to many. He will be dearly missed.
Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Louise "Lou"; children, Gary Srpan and Karen (Randy Sr.) Watson;
grandchildren, Randy Jr., David, James Tyler; great-grandchildren, Abby, Hailey, and Kelsey; and sibling, Virginia Berch; many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, Friday at Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Township.
