Funeral Mass for Kimberly C. Evers, 64, of Eastlake, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Justin Martyr Church, 35711 Stevens Blvd., Eastlake.Mr. Evers passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby.Born March 6, 1957, in St. Paul, Minn., he had been a resident of Lake County for more than 40 years.Kim served in the U.S. Army for six years and was a nuclear veteran. Before retiring, he was a career engineer. Kim was currently serving as a Councilman for the City of Eastlake and had been for the past eight years, ran the Eastlake Police Activities League (EPAL), was a former coach of Eastlake sports leagues and former Boy Scout Leader, an avid outdoorsman, loved hunting and fishing, and also enjoyed bowling.He was the beloved husband of 38 years to Mary Frances (nee Mele); loving father of Therese M. Addy of Minnesota, Nicholas J. Evers of Eastlake, Dani M. (Matthew) Richards of Willowick, and Matthew C. Evers of Eastlake; cherished grandfather of Ryan, Alexis, Adriona, and Teddy; brother of Sandy (Kenny) Gibson and Dale Evers; brother-in-law of Vicki Evers and Tom Lindquist; and uncle of many. He also leaves many dear family and friends who loved him dearly.Kim was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon F. Sr. and Dorothy (nee Hartman) Evers; siblings, Vernon “Butch” Evers and Diana Lindquist; and son-in-law, Scott Addy.Family will receive friends from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 to 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby.
