Leonard Dingers Obituary
Born Oct. 15, 1935, in Akron to Charles and Mary (nee Palangi) Dingers, he had been a longtime area resident.
Leonard served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1953 to 1957. He worked and retired from Solon Manufacturing in Chardon and was a volunteer firefighter with Montville Volunteer Fire Department for over 20 years.
He enjoyed fishing and farming, but his greatest joy was spending time with his friends and family.
Len is survived by his wife, Brenda (nee Bowers) Dingers of Middlefield; three daughters, Susan (Jim) Tommer of Montville, Elizabeth (Martin) Flores of Sheffield Lake and Patricia (James) Carroll of Montville; son, Daniel (Tracy) of Concord; grandchildren, Terri and Roy Switzer, Roberto and Mateo Flores, and Ryan Dingers; brothers, Louis (Alberta) of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Charles (Karina) of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Michael.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. (Route 44, 500 feet south of Route 6/Chardon Square), Chardon.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Donations are suggested to the Montville Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 98, Montville, OH 44064-0098.
