Lois Wirtz Obituary

Lois A. Wirtz, 84, of Willoughby for the past 5 years, formerly of Athens, Ga., died Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Hospice House in Cleveland. She was born July 26, 1928, in Cleveland.
Mrs. Wirtz enjoyed shopping and playing bridge. She had a great sense of humor and was a friend to all. She loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Paula Callaghan of Asheville, N.C., Janice (Denver) Canfield of Mentor and Carl Wirtz of Strongsville; 10 grandchildren; and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Paul J. Wirtz; parents, Francis and Anna Cole; and sister, Janet Gardner.
A Celebration of Lois's life will be 7:30 p.m. Friday, at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
The family will receive friends 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
