Mary Duffy Obituary

Funeral Mass of the Resurrection for Mary C. (Heneghan) Duffy, 84, of Mentor, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. (Family and friends are asked to please meet at the church.)
Mrs. Duffy passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland with her loving family at her side.
Born March 31, 1928, in Cleveland, she had been a Lake County resident for the past 57 years, living in Willoughby before moving to Mentor.
Mary was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby and the Ladies Court of Mary. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many.
She was the beloved wife of Patrick J. Duffy; loving mother of Patrick Duffy of Wickliffe, William (Susan) Duffy of Willoughby and Eileen (Timothy) O'Connor of Willoughby; cherished grandmother of Timothy (Kelly) O'Connor, Brian O'Connor, Shannon Duffy and Krista Duffy; sister of Robert Heneghan of New Mexico and Sr. Justina Heneghan, RSM of Louisville, Ky.; sister-in-law of Mary Giblon; and an aunt and great-aunt of many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick J. and Catherine B. (Keaveney) Heneghan; siblings, Bernie Heneghan and Thomas Heneghan; and brother-in-law, Frank Giblon.
Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
The family suggests donations in her name be made to Little Sisters and Brothers of the Eucharist, c/o Fr. James O'Donnell, 2186 E. 35th St., Cleveland, OH 44115, or Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.

Mary was a great and faithfilled lady. She always seemed so serene and I never missed getting a St. Patrick's Day card or Christmas card from her since I left willoughby 42 years ago. i am in Ireland but will remember her her at mass here. my condolences to you Pat and to your family.
