Michael Friel Obituary

Funeral services for Michael T. Friel, 61, of Eastlake, will be 7 p.m. Saturday at Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, located at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Mr. Friel passed away Nov. 18, 2015, at University Hospitals of Cleveland.
He was born Aug. 14, 1954, in Cleveland.
He was a loving husband, father, son and grandfather, who loved spending time with his family. Mike also enjoyed going out to restaurants and riding his motorcycle, and had a passion for classic cars.
Mr. Friel was the owner of Friel Fence.
Survivors are his loving wife of 25 years, Doreen Friel; children, Michael Friel II, Matthew (Michelle) Friel, Donna (Brian) Jesenovec, Debbie (Joe) Heintz and Scott (Kristine) Raymond; grandchildren, Dustin, Ryan, Ashlyn, Megan, Matthew II, Memphis, Nick, Timmy, Julia, Donovan, Johnny, Samantha, Scotty Jr., and Anthony; mother, Billie Friel; siblings, Jim (Barb) Friel, Bill (Debbie) Friel and Tom Friel; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Maria Friel; grandson, Joseph Heintz; father, James Friel; brother, Rick Friel; and sister-in-law, Kathi Friel.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

I met Mike at DeMarco's coffee shop. Over the years he shared many words of wisdom with me and opened my eyes to a lot. He told it like it was and I will forever be thankful for knowing him and will miss his smile and laugh.

Sorry for your loss Mike lived on the next street to me. Mike and I walked to Kennedy jr. high. He was a great friend to have, lost contact in high school. But I saw him here and there. He will be missed by all.
