Nellie Butler Obituary
She was born October 5, 1934 in Left Hand, W.Va. to Lawrence and Oma (Deweese) Truman. Nellie married Carlos Butler in Spencer, W.Va. on September 1, 1951.
Nellie loved "Crusin" with the antique cars and really enjoyed Ford Mustangs - she and Carlos had a '65 Mustang. She delighted in the outdoors and camping with her family – starting with a pop-up camper which later led to a park/seasonal model. Nellie enjoyed reading and the Game Show Network. Of all of Nellie's joys, her greatest joy was spending time with family.
She is survived by her daughters, Connie K. (Richard) Roediger, Theresa A. Carnish; sons, Jack A. (Darlene) Butler, Dan R. (Janet) Butler; grandchildren, Heather Carnish, Tod Carnish, Jeff Butler, Adam Butler, Chad Butler; great-grandchildren, Bryanna, Logan, Charley, Kaydn; sisters, Oeta Miller, Gladys McQuain-Carper; brothers, Sonny (Sherri) Truman, James (Judy) Truman; and her loved parakeets, Mickey and Minnie.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Carlos; son, Rickie Butler; sister, Delores Siers; brother, Harry S. Truman.
Friends will be received 3 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 4, 2016 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at the funeral home. Rev. Larry Wade will officiate. Final Resting Place will be Madison Memorial Cemetery.
