Paul O. Kenyon, 81, of Chardon, passed away May 24, 2011, at his home in Chardon surrounded by his loving family. He is "together again" with his beloved wife, Bernice on her birthday.
Born Nov. 6, 1929, in Cleveland, he had lived in Cleveland before moving to Chardon in 1956.
Paul married Bernice J. Nemitz July 12, 1949, in Cleveland. She preceded him in death Dec. 25, 2010, after 61 years of marriage. He was a graduate of East Tech High School in 1949.
A resident of Chardon since 1956, he had worked for C. Berg Electric Company in Cleveland, the Lake County Hospital Association, and finally at Lubrizol Corporation in Wickliffe, retiring in 1993, as an associate electrical engineer.
Always a person who kept active, he was involved with little league baseball for 10 years and also with the Chardon Lions Club football program for many years. He was a Chardon Village councilman for over 12 years and also served on the Chardon Village and Geauga County Planning Commissions.
Paul was an active member of Chardon United Methodist Church, where he served as head usher for many years. He had also been a member and a past president of the Chardon Lions Club. His last volunteer work he loved doing was helping out when the new Chardon High School football field was being built.
He loved being at all his children and grandchildren events. His hobbies included roller skating, dancing, and bowling. He was on a bowling league in Chardon for many years.
The family would like to thank the Cherished Companions and Care Corp for their wonderful care of Paul. He will be missed by his loving friends and family.
Survivors are his son, Paul (Sue) Kenyon of Canton; daughters, Patsy (Tom) Fritz of Parkman, Pamela (Gary) Skoch of Munson and Paulette Callahan of Chardon; grandchildren, Tom Fritz, Emily and Abby Kenyon and Kyle Callahan; brother, Tim (Joan ) Kenyon; two sisters, Dorothy Williams and Betty Kenyon; sisters-in-law, Evelyn, Gladys, and Jan; and many cousins, nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice; parents, Felix D. and Agnes F. (Meeks) Kenyon; and brothers, Myron (Florence), Robert, Ira and Felix (Marge) and Daniel.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2011, at the church. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg.

I've been praying for you all (Patsy, Pam, Paulette, and Paul). Your Dad and mom meant alot to me, and I will miss them very much. One of my fondest childhood memories is coming to your house for Thanksgiving, and as soon as you walked in the house you could smell your mom's cooking and your dad's pipe. It always made me feel warm. They are together again. Love, Dan, Lisa, and the kids
