Paul V. Martz

Paul V. Martz, age 89, of Eastlake, passed away February 1, 2023. He was born in Cumberland, MD, on August 7, 1933, to the late Luther and Alma Martz. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Paul was a long-time member of Willo Hill Baptist Church. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Paul proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Paul dedicated many years to the City of Willoughby as a Supervisor for the Service Dept. Above all, his greatest joy and blessing was his family. He was a devoted and hardworking family man. Paul is survived by his daughter Barbara (Tedd) Pazicni and son John (Diane) Martz, grandchildren Andrea (Kyle) Reynolds, Matthew (Lauren) Miller, and Jared Martz (Ali Discenzo), great-grandchildren Zoe, Carson, Matthew, and Vinny, and his brother Eugene (Janet) Martz, his sister and brother-in-law Deedie and Jackie Jefferson. Paul also leaves behind a host of nephews and nieces he dearly loved. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Helen Martz, granddaughter Holly Green, and siblings Leonard Martz, David Martz, Charlotte Jewell, and Lorain Martz. Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 11th, 2023, from 10am to 12pm at Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake. A Funeral Service will follow the visitation at noon also at the funeral home. Paul will be laid to rest at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chesterland.
