Richard Saxon Obituary

Richard A. "Kwik Rick" Saxon Jr., 51, of Geneva, departed this life May 1, 2011, at home after a brave battle with throat cancer.
He was born Nov. 12, 1959, in Cleveland and had been a resident of Geneva for the last two years. He had previously lived in Mentor and surrounding communities.
He graduated from North High School in Eastlake in 1977, where he learned the auto body trade. He went on to pursue and became one of the areas first quality auto body and paint men.
He loved animals, the outdoors, riding his motorcycle, camping, fishing, boating, rock and roll concerts, playing cards with his buddies, and was a yearly participant of the Louie Run.
Survivors are his parents, Richard and Nancy Saxon of Mentor; daughter, Shannon (Greg); granddaughter, Arianna, both of Geneva; and his fiancee, Winona Royer of Geneva, whom he loved dearly and who took excellent care of him up until the end.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. May 6, at The Hungarian Reformed Church, 601 Plum St., Fairport Harbor. His ashes will be scattered in private at a later date.
At Rick's request, while he is riding his bike with Heaven's Angels, he wants all that knew and loved him to have a party, remember all of the good times, and know he will be waiting for them to come ride with him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family or to your local A.P.L.
