Robert Oberlin Obituary

Funeral services for Robert K. Oberlin, age 86, of Willowick, will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2011, at Jakubs-Danaher Funeral Home, 36000 Lake Shore Blvd., Eastlake.
Mr. Oberlin passed away at his home March 30, 2011.
Born Jan. 7, 1925, in Cleveland, he had been a Willowick resident for the past 40 years.
Mr. Oberlin retired from Cleveland Electric Illuminating in 1987, after 40 years of service. He was an underground cable splicer,
During World War II, Bob served aboard the destroyer USS Jeffers in both theaters of combat. He was a member of the Wickliffe Eagles and American Legion.
Survivors are his beloved companion of 20 years, Jean Grabowski; brother, Fred Oberlin; cousin, Norman Alber; stepchildren, Tracy, Steven, Vicki and Jim Frysinger, Kristen Henshaw and Lisa Chany; 10 step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Victoria.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg.
