Ronald Kindel Obituary

On Saturday, October 1st at 12:45am, our beloved husband & father, Ronald Fredrick Kindel, went to be with our Lord. Born on Christmas Day, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio, Ron was the son of Harvey Kindel and Blanche Thompson. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sandy Kindel Harrison (Ralph) and his surviving sister is Cheryl Kindel Buckey. Ronald joined the United States Navy 1963, where he served on the USS Constitution in Charlestown MA. While in the US Navy, he met his future wife, Dolore whom he married in 1966. Ron & Dolores moved to Ohio in 1969 and spent the next 56 years raising their family. Ron was a wonderful father to Dawn Kindel Farmwald (Jake), Kelly Kindel Carroll (Joe) and Erin Kindel Sidewand (Edward). He was an amazing Papa to his 15 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Andrew (Dani), Jonathan and Noah Farmwald, Ashley Spaller (RJ), Troy, Alex, Brandon and Abby Carroll, Evalyn, Ellen, Elliah, Elise, Ethan and Everett Sidewand. He was very blessed to be a Great Grandfather to Jacob and Matthew Farmwald and Harper and Wesley Carroll. Ron earned a degree in art and drafting and became a mechanical designer. During his professional career, Ron was awarded several patents and received countless awards for his creativity. He was known for being able to fix and make anything! God gifted him with many talents, including painting & wood-working. He touched many lives by sharing the gospel of our Lord and had a strong faith in God. In the last week of his life he was able to be with many family and friends in celebration of his granddaughters wedding, where he was able to give her away. What a great send off to his eternal home. Ron passed in Seneca SC where he and Dolores were building a home together to enjoy their final years of retirement. Ron’s family will be hosting a celebration of life ceremony in late December, to coincide with his birthday. Details will be announced in the coming months.

I don't know if I had met Ron when I was a kid, but as an adult I enjoyed talking with him over the phone and via email/text. One of the photos provided during the service was a photo I had shared with him, he may have already had it, but perhaps it confirmed that I was family, along with DNA on Ancestry.
I LOVED hearing all that people said about him. I wish we had all lived closer and knew each other.
God bless.
Heaven is continuously hosting wonderful reunions. We'll see him up there.
Thanks for posting the service on Youtube.
