Ruth Reid Obituary
Born Oct. 9, 1926, in Glen Campbell, Pa., she had lived in Lakewood for 65 years before moving to Painesville Township 19 years ago.
Mrs. Reid devoted her life to serving her family as a homemaker.
Survivors are her children, Leonard (Bobbie) Reid of Federal Way, Wash., and Douglas (Sook) Reid of Mentor. She is also survived by son-in-law Dan Hoyer; many loving grandchildren, great- and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Thelma Park and Betty (Paul) Fridley; brother Joseph Korney; and many other family members.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Herbert Reid; beloved daughter, Cheryl Hoyer; and brothers, John, Bill, Tom and Paul Korney.
Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Mentor Baptist Church 7500 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Mentor.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township.
