Seth E. Cunningham, age 44, passed away on April 2, 2020, surrounded by family. He succumbed to devastating injuries suffered while working construction on March 21, 2020. Seth was born in Painesville on October 29, 1975. He graduated from Riverside High School and the Cleveland Heights Police Academy. He was a member of Laborers’ Local 310. In addition to working construction, Seth was a Program Assistant at Lake Geauga Recovery Centers. Seth’s greatest joy was his son, Joseph Cunningham (Michelle Guidry, mother). He and JoJo shared so many adventures, including Lake County Captains, Cleveland Monsters and Cavs games. They also enjoyed golfing, camping, swimming or just staying home building things with LEGO and Minecraft sets. Music was Seth’s passion. His planned Fall trip to the Ohana Festival was to be a dream come true. Pearl Jam and My Morning Jacket performing along with many other favorite bands. He’ll be listening with his brother from above. Seth was known to his family, many friends and the Recovery community for his quick wit, many stories, and endless trivial knowledge. Seth is the loving son of Edwin Cunningham (Carol Tackett) and Abby (Ray) DelaMotte; dearest brother of Adam DelaMotte (Victoria Williams) and Amanda (Eric) Monty. He is survived by aunts, Martha (Hubert) Pinto and Janice Cunningham; uncles, Robert and John MacVean; and his nephew, Clay Monty. Seth leaves many cherished cousins and friends. Seth was preceded in death by his brother, Alexander DelaMotte; and his grandparents, Sheriff Edwin Cunningham and Juanita Cunningham and Robert and Wanda MacLean. Seth continued to help others through Lifebanc. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Burial will be in Evergreen and Riverside Cemeteries. I´m not sure I put this on before, but I have Seth in class at Riverside HighSchool, when I took the food class that he was in to the west side market. Seth told me that he was going to stay right with me because it was not a good neighborhood. He did not stay with the classmates. He stayed with me the whole time, and I will never forget him. For a young man to do that at that point in his life what is the most admirable! It´s a good memory. Carol Lewis.

My name is Thomas P Beardslee and I jus discovered this tragedy. This wonderful n caring young man was so attentive and caring to me at rock Creek. So intelligent and caring!! Very sorry n sorry for great loss of this unselfiska and devoted friend and helper to the discouraged. Interestingly sheriff Edwin Cunningham was a friend of my father Charles beardslee of Perry Ohio and beardslee nursery.. I really miss him. God bless all mourning

You may or may not remember me, but I was so saddened to hear of Seth's sudden and most unexpected death. My heart is heavy for the sadness you must endure at this time and as time moves on without your precious son.

When someone we love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure. We hold many treasures dear to our hearts.

I was a teacher at Riverside High School. Seth was in several of my classes. In my foods and nutrition class we went to the West Side Market on a field trip each semester. When Seth was in the class and we went, he told me he did not want me left alone at any time as the market was not in the very best part of Cleveland. Therefore, Seth stayed with me the whole time, even though his friends went off on their own. This has been a very special memory of my time at Riverside and of Seth My sympathy goes out to all of you. May you have peace having known and loved Seth. Carol Lewis
