A Service Celebrating the Life of Shirley (Hanson) Cutler, age 93, of Painesville, OH and Fort Myers, FL will be held at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 7989 Little Mountain Rd., Mentor, OH on Saturday May 20th, 2023 at 11:00. The Rev Lisa O'Rear will officiate.Mrs. Cutler died Dec. 28th, 2022. She was born in Cleveland, OH on August 22, 1929. Shirley graduated Valedictorian from Collinwood High School in 1947, and in 1951 graduated Cum Laude from Baldwin Wallace College Conservatory of Music. She went on to receive her Master of Arts Degree from Western Reserve Graduate School in Cleveland.Mrs. Cutler taught in the Willoughby-Eastlake Schools for 32 years. She was also the Church Organist & Choir Director in Ohio, Michigan & the Florida Keys & very active in the Church Choir in Ft. Myers. After retirement her love of music & theater led her & her husband of 64 years to travel extensively enjoying the Fine Arts arond the world. Shirley was always willing to help out & she had a smile for everyone.She is preceded in death by her husband Paul Coleman Cutler & brother John Roy Hanson. Survived by her son Robert P (Laura) Cutler of Painesville, OH, daughter Julie C (David) Beal of Thompson, OH, 3 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a great many nieces & nephews.In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Music Fund of St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 7989 Little Mountain Rd.
