Todd Wagner Obituary

Todd Andrew Wagner, 55, formerly of Mentor but recently of Elberton, Georgia went home to be with the Lord he loved on June 17, 2022. He was a beloved father, son, and brother. He is survived by his daughters, Brittany and Megan Wagner, his father, Raymond Wagner, step-mother, Jill Wagner, his brothers, Ray Wagner (Tiffiny) and Brandon Wagner (Alison) and his sister, Meredith Miller (Matt). He was predeceased by his birth mother, Peggy Bollinger. One word to describe Todd would be survivor. Todd had a rough beginning and as a result was diagnosed with several issues early in life. But he found ways to cope. He was a fighter. When life knocked him down, he’d pick himself back up, often using his great sense of humor to brighten a difficult situation. He had a tender heart and a generous spirit. When he became aware of a need, even with one of his customers, he would often send a check to help meet a physical need and a note of encouragement for their spiritual well-being.He thoroughly loved his daughters and his pets.He was an avid reader and passionate about growing spiritually. He loved studying the Bible and sharing Christ with those he encountered. He was a hard worker and could sell anything but he didn’t believe in the hard sell. His main motivation was to help people. His last employment was with Cigna and his supervisor’s words speak to the type of person he was: “Todd was absolutely adored by all of our team – he was a truly godly man and shared scripture verses with several of our agents every day! He was always willing to offer a helping hand and provide assistance wherever he could. He was genuine, which is not a character trait you don’t find very often anymore.”No memorial is planned but you could honor his life by enhancing your relationship with Jesus. My deepest sympathies to Brittany, Megan and the rest of Todd's family and friends. We lost contact years ago after he and his family lived with me when the girls were young. He and I shared some of the same struggles. I am glad to hear he turned things around.
