BARBARA JEAN FLETCHER

A Memorial Service for Barbara Fletcher, 76, Palm Coast, who passed Thursday, July 18, 2013 in Jacksonville, FL, will be 10 AM, Thursday, July 25, 2013 at the RJ Gainous Funeral Home, Inc. with Mrs. Lillian Kemp-Green, St. Paul AME Church, St. Augustine, FL, sister of the deceased presiding and Rev. Jimmie Moore, Assoc. Pastor, Allen Chapel AME church delivering the main eulogy. Ms. Fletcher was born in Daytona Bch in 1936 to Napolean and Beatrice Fletcher. She attended the former Campbell Street High School and graduated in the class of 1954. She also attended Alabama State and Bethune-Cookman College. She was a member of Allen Chapel AME church where she served as the president of the ACE League, a member of the Junior Choir and participated in other church activities. Her favorite pastimes were reading and singing hymns from the AME Hymnal. After becoming disabled, she was lovingly cared for by Bishop's Home Care Services, Jacksonville, FL. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Adrienne Merritt and a brother, Herman "Rabbit" Wyche. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory: a son, Timothy Fletcher, Daytona Bch; 2 granddaughters: Candice Etinne (Yves), Lakeland, FL, Stacie Brown-Green, Daytona Bch; 2 great granddaughters; sisters: Bettye Collier (Charles), W. Palm Bch, FL, Lillian Kemp-Green, Palm Coast, FL, and Marva Hall, Pompano Bch, FL; brothers: Theodore Fletcher (Doris), Ormond Bch, Napoleon Fletcher, Jr. (Florine), Titusville, FL, and Melvin Fletcher; other sorrowing relatives and friends.
