Brian Weiner Obituary

Brian Weiner
8-31-1957 - 11-6-2020
Brian Died from complications of COVID-19 on November 6, 2020 Surrounded by his loved ones at Halifax Hospital, Daytona Beach where he was also born. Brian was owner of Solutions Tree company and Solutions by the Sea, a sober living facility that housed over 160 men. Many knew Brian as Just B or Brian W. His passion was helping others find the life he found through a 12-step program. He was admired in our community by many for his efforts in helping people that others could not help. Brian showed men how to recreate their lives and live life on life's terms. He took men in with no money and without a job, he would provide food and shelter until they were able to provide their own. The lessons we all learned from Brian were immeasurable, but the most important was to never judge or assume an outcome for another. He understood people's pain and taught others that if you give away what you were so freely given, you can have a life beyond your wildest dreams. Brian was a very enthusiastic motorcyclist and shared that passion with his friends. His dream ride was achieved when a group of friends traveled the Blue Ridge Mountains, riding the Dragon's tail on the way to Akron, Ohio for Bill W.'s celebration. Brian was predeceased by his father Marvin Weiner. Survivors include his fiancé Kim Young; her son Trevor Young; son Corey Burton; mother Sarah Weiner; Two sisters, Lonie Weiner; and Gail Holt and her husband Mike Hammett; and his family at Solutions by the Sea and those in the recovery community. Services are on December 5, 4:00 pm, at the Daytona Christian Drive-in Church. Also available as a live stream on Solutions by the Sea FL https://www.facebook.com/solutionsbytheseafl/. In lieu of flowers there is a GOFUNDME page for Brian Weiner, "the ripple continues", to build an outdoor pavilion and BBQ for 12 step meetings rain or shine, in loving memory of Brain Weiner. https://www.gofundme.com/f/brian-weiner-quotthe-ripple-continuesquot

We were shocked and saddened to hear that Brian was called home to the Lord in November. Our son was a resident at solutions back in 2013. Sadly our son Victor left the program too soon and died on September 8, 2013, certainly not for a lack of effort by Solutions. We got to know Brian and his wonderful family as we would return for visits periodically. Actually Brian was the only person we found comforting after our loss. He was so committed to what he was doing, and was responsible for saving and improving so many lives. We would often commemorate the sad date of Victor´s passing by visiting Brian and Solutions. That´s how we just recently learned of Brian´s death. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family and friends and the staff at Solutions. He will certainly be sorely missed, by many. We certainly pray that this good work continue as a legacy to great and caring man.

My deepest sympathies to all Family friends and associates of Mr Brian Weiner. I myself was a client at Solutions by the Sea. I thank Brian for allowing me a chance and giving me the assistance I needed to start over in my life of sober living. Brian has gone on but his love will always be in our rememberance . I hope and pray that the love of God will be comfort for all who miss Brian and the love of God will be the strength that enables us to carry on in continuing to uphold Brian's legacy at Solutions by the Sea. Peace and One Love Tony

Brian gave me my family back. My husband is to this day a resident of Solutions. He is also an employee of Tree Solutions. Brian provided him and a ton more with the knowledge to live happy sober lives. He was a bleed heart. And it showed daily. We will forever be grateful for what he's done. And we will forever keep his word alive and our beds made ❤

Brian was a Saint and a beautiful person inside and out. The love he shared was, as he often said, seeing people through the lens of God. He will always be my friend.
God's peace and all good be with you..
